Equinix Expands Cisco + NVIDIA Secure AI Factory Deployment Across Globe
Equinix announced an expanded collaboration with Cisco and NVIDIA to deploy the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA across its global network of high-performance data centers. The move aims to give enterprise customers standardized blueprints and automation for AI infrastructure, built on NVIDIA reference architectures.
The partnership also includes Presidio, which is deploying its Programmable AI Technology Hub (P.A.T.H.) Lab inside Equinix facilities. The lab is designed as a fully integrated, production-grade environment for testing and validating AI workloads before full-scale rollout.
- Equinix will make the Cisco Secure AI Factory with NVIDIA available across its global data center footprint, leveraging the company’s interconnection density, specialized power delivery, and advanced cooling capabilities for AI hardware.
- The offering provides customers with pre-built AI factory blueprints and automation to reduce deployment complexity and accelerate the move from pilot projects to production environments.
- Presidio’s P.A.T.H. Lab will operate as a partner-led environment within Equinix data centers, allowing enterprises to test hybrid AI workloads spanning public cloud, neocloud, on-premises, and colocation setups.
- The collaboration emphasizes data sovereignty and control, with deployments intended to meet requirements for secure, compliant AI infrastructure at scale.
- Equinix highlighted that success in enterprise AI increasingly depends on the physical infrastructure layer, including power, cooling, and interconnection, rather than software alone.
Gordon Mackintosh, Equinix’s Senior Vice President of Global Partner Sales and Ecosystems, said the partnership is intended to help companies move AI “from pilot to production with the speed, simplicity and certainty businesses need.”
Cassie Roach, Cisco’s Global Vice President of Cloud and AI Infrastructure Partner Sales, noted that the collaboration is designed to deliver secure and flexible AI infrastructure through a trusted partner ecosystem.
No specific timelines, capacity targets, or financial details were disclosed in the announcement. The focus remains on simplifying enterprise AI deployments through a standardized, multi-vendor infrastructure stack running inside Equinix’s colocation facilities worldwide.
