xAI Launches Grok Build Plugin Marketplace

xAI has rolled out the Grok Build Plugin Marketplace, bringing a built-in plugin system to its terminal-native coding agent.

The marketplace allows users to browse, install, and manage plugins directly inside Grok Build without leaving the terminal. Plugins bundle skills, slash commands, agents, hooks, MCP servers, and LSPs into single installable packages. Everything is pinned to a specific commit SHA for verification at install time.

Users can access the marketplace by typing /marketplace in Grok Build or via CLI commands like grok plugin marketplace list and grok plugin install <name> --trust. The catalog is open — anyone can publish plugins by submitting a pull request to the official GitHub repo.

At launch, the marketplace includes plugins from several partners across the development stack:

  • MongoDB — Explore data, manage collections, and optimize queries
  • Vercel — Manage deployments, check build status, and configure domains
  • Sentry — Analyze stack traces and debug production errors
  • Chrome DevTools — Control live browsers, record performance traces, and inspect network requests
  • Cloudflare — Tools for Workers, Durable Objects, and more
  • Superpowers — Popular agent-driven workflows

The move strengthens Grok Build’s position in the increasingly crowded coding agent space, giving users a faster way to extend the tool with trusted integrations while keeping everything inside the terminal workflow.

The Plugin Marketplace is available now to Grok Build users.
