Lightspeed Launches AI Command Center™ — Conversational AI Built Into Dealer Management System

Lightspeed, a provider of dealer management software for the powersports, marine, RV, trailer, and golf car industries, today announced the general availability of Lightspeed AI Command Center™.

The company describes it as the industry’s first conversational AI platform built directly into a dealer management system. It leverages more than 40 years of industry data across thousands of recreational dealerships.

Key data points from the official announcement:

  • Backed by more than $159 billion in dealership transactions
  • 1.7 million units sold
  • 12.8 million service repair orders
  • Combined with each dealership’s live operational data

Managers can ask questions in plain English and receive immediate answers grounded in their live dealership data. Examples include aging inventory, gross profit trends, sales team performance, and units needing attention.

The system operates inside the existing Lightspeed DMS environment. No data exports, external connectors, or separate analytics platforms are required. Existing user permissions remain in place, so employees only see information they are already authorized to access.

The initial release is designed for sales managers, focusing on sales performance and inventory management. Lightspeed stated it plans to expand the platform to additional dealership roles and departments over time.

Brian Provost, CEO of Lightspeed, said: “Dealers shouldn’t have to spend their time searching for information. They should be acting on it. AI Command Center puts the intelligence of the dealership at a manager’s fingertips.”

Taylor Allis, Chief Product Officer, added: “With Lightspeed AI Command Center, managers can ask questions the same way they would ask a colleague, get an immediate answer grounded in their dealership data, and keep digging deeper through conversation.”
